NASHVILLE LATINO HEALTH COALITION

COALICION DE SALUD LATINA DE NASHVILLE

          Nashville Latino Health Coalition

Progreso Community Center (PCC) coordinates the Nashville Latino Health Coalition (NLHC).  NLHC meets at PCC on the third Tuesday of every month from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

NLHC, founded in November 2005, is a collaboration among members of the grassroots Hispanic community and public health, healthcare, non-profit, academic and other organizations, who all share the common goal of improving the health of the Nashville Hispanic community.  NLHC employs a community-based, participatory approach, which emphasizes community empowerment, democratic processes, shared decision-making power, and true collaboration.

NEW!
NLHC is in the process of developing a bilingual health resource guide for the Nashville Hispanic community.  A recent
Community Readiness Assessment conducted by PCC and Tennessee State University identified a need in the Hispanic community for more easy-to-access information about local available health services and other resources, especially for people without health insurance.  Updates on the development of the guide will be posted on this website.
